It is YOUR responsibility as a GP Registrar to ensure that ALL of the above is completed and submitted. Failure to do this will result in a delayed award of the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and hence the ability to access a provider number without approval from IGPE.
We have developed a Checklist to help you.
Even though you have passed the exam, your Fellowship forms can only be processed after you complete your training time. This process may take up to 3 months.
Meanwhile, please make sure you apply for an extension of your Provider Number through IGPE (Recognition as a GP form). Failure to do so will mean you cannot continue to work as a GP while waiting for your Fellowship to be processed.
