Dr Anne Eastwood

Lecturer

Anne joined IGPE in 2006. She gained her medical degree from the University of Auckland in 1979 and entered the Family Medicine Training Program in 1986. She worked as a GP in Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin, gained her RNZCGP and became an examiner for the FRNZCGP clinical exam. In 2004 she graduated Master of General Practice (with distinction) from the University of Otago. Her thesis investigated barriers encountered by older people when seeking medical care after hours. Since moving to Sydney in 2004 she has worked in general practice, for NSW Refugee Health, as a medical educator for the RACGP and a clinical tutor for UNSW. She hopes to complete an MPH majoring in education in 2007.
